Education at Germany’s public university is free. At most, you might have to pay semester fee or administrative fee of about €300 to €400 for whole semester. Although at private universities, you might have to pay fees of up to €20,000 per year or even more depending upon the university.

Student Visa Type:

For studies that last up to 3 months, you need a Schengen visa. For studies that last more than 3 months, you need a German national visa.
